Gain the Security of Legal Protection!

NAESP’s Legal Benefits Program safeguards you against unexpected expenses due to legal actions that may suddenly be directed against you. On June 1, 2002, NAESP significantly improved its Legal Benefits Program for all current Active, Life, and Emeritus members, including up to $1,000,000 for individual professional liability and up to $10,000 for legal fees for job-protection defense claims following a $500 deductible. Accrued legal benefits coverage for current members as of June 1, 2002, also automatically doubled in value! By joining NAESP and keeping your membership current, you ensure that you are protected.

Job-Protection-Related Assistance: Reimbursement up to $10,000 based on continuous years of membership (following a $500 deductible, accruing at $1,000 for each year of continuous membership) for eligible job-protection-related legal claims.

Professional Liability and Civil Suit Defense: Reimbursement of up to $1,000,000 per individual of damage/settlement costs for eligible civil suit claims, with reasonable defense outside the limits of the policy. (This means reimbursement for legal services in defense of eligible civil suits may greatly exceed limitations of prior coverage.)

How the Legal Benefits Program Works: The Legal Benefits Program provided through membership in NAESP is simple. All other insurance policies, such as your school district's policies shall always be primary to NAESP's plan but may not cover you in every case.
